The Kingsley at Eversley

“Nice owner, ok for an overnight stay”

It did its job for an overnight work stay. The owner kindly changed my stay to Sunday night instead of Saturday after I accidentally hit the wrong key when booking! I was led to believe that all rooms were ensuite. Although I had my own bathroom with its own key, it meant a short walk along the corridor with two other rooms off it. As a woman traveling alone, I always book a room with its own bathroom!

“Relaxing and welcoming stay!”

Olly and Peter were amazing hosts, and it was fascinating to learn about the Charles Kingsley link to the hotel. The rainfall shower was hot and powerful, the kitchenette had all the essentials, and the bed was comfortable. A nice touch was the very effective fan that cooled the room. I’d suggest checking out the Chequers Pub nearby for tasty food and friendly service. The only thing that would have been a bonus is having coffee and cake available in the lovely courtyard.

I booked because the staff were working nearby, and everything turned out fine.

“Friendly staff, comfy bed.”

The staff were very welcoming and the property is lovely. The room was spacious with a very comfy bed. Because we were hiking early in hot weather, it was great to have packed breakfast ready at the agreed time. Unfortunately, the shower was awful—there was a hose clip already attached and it wouldn’t turn off, so it dripped all night and kept me awake. We reported this, and the owner promised to fix it.
