The place is lovely and the hosts are very welcoming; the view from our bedroom was fantastic, and even our dog Ellie enjoyed it, though the walk up from town was a bit of a climb.

“Will come back to stay with you if we come to Teignmouth agsin”

The period property feels Regency‑style, with stunning views from our bedroom window and a 10‑minute walk to Teignmouth centre; Sarah and Margaret were lovely hosts, breakfast was served in the dining room with a good selection, and they catered to my husband’s dairy intolerance by providing dairy‑free biscuits in our room, a thoughtful touch; the clean room had an ensuite with separate bath and shower.

Breakfast was spot‑on, cooked while we ate cereals and drank tea that was already set out when we asked; the location is a steep uphill walk from the sea front, but that allowed us to hear birds through the window and see the town below instead of the front’s bustle; the house itself is quirky and furnished in keeping with its period.

“A beautiful getaway with beautiful views!”

The stay was quirky and homely with an attentive host; we loved the breakfast options and the views from the bedrooms and garden; the town is a short walk away, and the host even supplied birthday candles for our relative’s cake and homemade brownies; the beds were a little uncomfortable, likely a matter of personal preference rather than the bed itself.
