Very good and hospitable host, always telling us how to use transport better and sharing the best places for food. The location is beautiful and calm. Maybe the location is a bit far from everything, but it’s calm.

We stayed in a villa that had three rooms, each with its own bathroom and a big balcony that looked straight at Erhai. The living room and kitchen were fully stocked, and the owner handled everything – breakfast, car rental, restaurant tips, custom routes, even airport pick‑up. It felt like the best homestay we’ve ever seen. No complaints.

Tan was an amazing host – he picked me up from the train station and gave great local tips. The room was spacious and the balcony had a great view. I felt right at home and I’ll definitely come back to Dali.

The scenery was gorgeous, the villa huge, rooms spotless, and the host was super helpful. He offered a ton of extra support. I’d highly recommend it.

I’d give it a 100% recommendation. The host was adorable and gave great advice on Dali activities and restaurants, plus future travel tips. The house was well equipped, water was available, and they even offered a bigger room for the same price. The only downside is it’s on the west side of the river, so you have to drive an hour to the old town – otherwise, not much is walkable, but you can rent bikes, scooters, taxis, or use public transport.
