Villa Inlet Galle

The garden offers a sea view, and though you can’t walk straight onto the beach, you can still catch stunning sunsets; we were the only guests, so the pool and garden were just for us. We were taken aback by the reception—no one was waiting when we arrived, and our driver had to help us find someone to open the doors. During our stay, two staff members were present but didn’t speak English, which made communication a bit tricky at times, though they were eager to help and very friendly.

Without a doubt, this place is stylish, and the garden is welcoming, with the interior also nicely arranged. The pool under palm trees invites a swim, and swings and hammocks hang in the garden. Breakfast was generous, and while we ate we could watch monkeys in the garden, and there are even bee-eaters and other great birds outside the garden. At night, street noises and local songs can be heard, and during the day there was also construction noise at our time.

The villa boasts a beautiful, well‑maintained garden and pool. Breakfast is very good and plentiful, with several options to choose from. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and we would definitely return.

The villa is unique! It’s nicely furnished, the room is large and offers a great (wide) view of the garden, the river behind it, and the sea. The Sri‑Lanka breakfast was truly delicious and highly recommended. We would have loved to stay longer than one night, but we had to leave.

A magnificent house with a lovely garden. We stayed only one night and were happy to be able to check in very early. Sleeping with the sound of the sea in the background is wonderful!
