It was the perfect stop on my bike tour to see the Upopoi (Ainu) museum, and the reception lady/owner was lovely; nothing to complain about—everything was good!

The hotel is close to the station and the Ainu museum, the rooms are spacious, the atmosphere very relaxing and quiet, it’s run by a family, and there’s a Jacuzzi in the bathroom.

On a business trip I met a staff member I’ve worked with before, and their trust was obvious. The breakfast offered the usual dishes, a steaming bowl of miso soup you could refill, and the rice was exceptionally tasty. A steady stream of side dishes kept coming, filling me up for the whole day. I prefer sleeping on a futon laid out on tatami, so I slept soundly. The inn has a nostalgic Showa vibe yet feels very cozy and pleasant. I’ll definitely stay here again when I visit the Shiraoi area, especially since it’s close to Upopoy.

The place is within walking distance of the station and also close enough to stroll to Upopoy, giving it a homely atmosphere.
