“Tohutu potentsiaaliga hotell, mille rikuvad nõrk juhtimine ja pettumust valmistav teenindus”
The hotel’s location and private beach are great, and the restaurant is the highlight. Breakfast was generous and tasty, and the evening à la carte menu let us try almost everything, most of which was good or very good. The restaurant service could earn a 4 out of 5 in a five‑point system, and the spa’s outdoor area was well designed. Because of its special location and historic architecture, the hotel has huge potential, but the management seems utterly incapable of realizing it. There is a lack of basic managerial quality and organisational logic, and the staff cannot be directed or put to work. First, check‑in and general service are painfully slow. The hotel’s logic collapses at every step. For example, although there is a separate beach bar and a special towel‑sharing station in the beach area, they are not actually shared there. We walked a long way with a small child to the beach, only to discover that to get towels one must return to the hotel reception. The resort is located on a very large area, and I had to walk back to a farther corner of the hotel and wait about 25 minutes in the general check‑in queue to get the towels. Before handing out the towels, strict name and room number were required – the hotel wants to appear Western and first‑class, but customers are treated in a suspicious and bureaucratic way typical of Eastern Europe (exactly like 25 years ago). We stopped in two rooms with high ceilings. The second room was especially large, but its décor did not match the room’s size – everything was cramped, and the overall impression was harsh and empty. The biggest disappointment came after we left. We forgot the hotel’s child’s hat. We sent two separate messages to the hotel with a detailed description and photos, but we received no reply. Complete silence and guest neglect as soon as the bill is paid and the door is locked behind you. The beautiful building alone does not make this a luxury resort. Until the management can establish processes or learn to value guests, this hotel remains a major disappointment.
