The houseboat was sweet, well‑kept and nicely decorated; the window seat was a hit with the kids and there was a parking spot in front of the gate. However, the walk to the boat was adventurous and risky for small children, the onboard bathroom and sleeping areas were cramped, the harbour was in a remote courtyard, only 400 litres of water were available for two nights (no drinking water), there was no stove or oven—just a single burner in a drawer, the location was modest with the nearest S‑bahn station over 2 km away (Harburg), the bus at the nearest stop ran only a few times a week on weekends, and the trains passing by were very loud.

It was the best family holiday we’ve had in a long time; everything fit perfectly, the facilities were good, the organisation smooth, the location fine, no complaints at all—would book again.

The trains passing by were great for our son and we even saw ships sail past, a nice sight; otherwise everything was fine. On hot days, a climate‑control unit would have been welcome, otherwise it gets too hot.

Beautiful surroundings, very well planned lodgings - even the bathroom is top notch! We had a great time and will definitely consider coming back to this exact place if we're ever in Hamburg again
