The hotel’s vibe, friendly staff, the park and the alpacas were great, but the elevator was broken, the room was small and the bedding wasn’t very comfortable.

It was gorgeous – the pool, breakfast, park, and the spacious, fragrant room were all superb. Nothing to complain about.

The manor was charming and located in a quiet setting, but the wooden floors in the rooms let you hear the neighbors’ noises.

The manor was beautifully restored with lovely woodwork and a whimsical animal-themed décor in the rooms, including a stunning hummingbird painting in my very spacious suite. The bathroom featured an antique bathtub and a living wall. The manor is part of the Auvergne wildlife park, as explained at check‑in. The welcome was very warm and the place was quiet. Alpacas roam in a large enclosure, and a small forest surrounds the manor, perfect for a short walk. Breakfast was hearty, even offering scrambled eggs from Cantal. The outdoor pool was great, and the location was easy to reach from the highway with clear signs. The only downside was the lack of curtains on the windows and the absence of small spoons or stirrers in the room to enjoy coffee calmly. At breakfast, which was otherwise excellent and plentiful, it would have been more convenient to have a self‑serve coffee machine or kettle for tea. These minor details don’t detract from the fairy‑tale décor of our room or the charming staff.
