The breakfast was fantastic, the room was lovely and the staff were very friendly. It offered great value for money and I would highly recommend it if you’re traveling to Barnstaple.

The hotel was lovely, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the room was large, well‑appointed with nice furniture. The bathroom was super clean, had a non‑slip bath mat, and quality toiletries. The only suggestion is to add a couple more electrical sockets near the bed, as most guests have multiple devices that need charging.

The atmosphere was comfortable. The downside was the many stairs leading up to the dog‑friendly bedroom.

The hotel isn’t dog‑friendly, and while I was willing to pay extra for my pet, there were no hidden fees, but later I was told the main bar area was off‑limits, so I had to sit in a cramped and noisy cocktail bar and ended up eating and drinking elsewhere. I asked for extra tea bags and milk, but they never arrived. The price was very high for what was offered, and I was very disappointed.

El hotel está en pleno centro de Barnstaple a 10 minutos de la estación de tren y a 2 de la estación de autobuses por lo que es super fácil moverte por la zona. El edificio es un antiguó palacete perteneciente a una familia que ha sido usado con diferentes propositos y ahora es un hotel. Las habitaciones tienen espacio suficiente, están limpias y la cama y almohadas son comodisimas. Además disponen de una tetera y un surtido de tés y chocolate junto con galletas para que puedas desayunar en la habitación. El ambiente es super tranquilo y silencioso, el personal super amable y todo estaba perfecto. Una de las habitaciones que nos dieron no disponía de luz en el techo por lo que solo se podían usar las lamparas de las mesitas auxiliares al lado de la cama y por la noche no ofrecian mucha luz. No es algo que afectara mucho a nuestra estancia, pero igualmente creo que sería interesante y si fuera posible que todas las habitaciones tuvieran luz suficiente
