“さすがに物申す”

The shared bath is a hot spring and there is a sauna; the size is fairly decent. The toilet and washbasin are shared, which is inconvenient each time. The coin laundry is located across the road in a roadside station, so it’s far and hard to use. The reception closes at 21:00, so after that you cannot leave because the front door is locked. The biggest issue was that there was no response at all to emails asking questions about the accommodation. Even though the booking was non‑cancellable, they didn’t answer our questions. (I felt like I was really being deceived.)

A very clean onsen and close to nature, but not many activities around.

大浴場は改修工事後間もないらしく、綺麗でした。 サウナもあり、これも綺麗でした。 部屋を出ると、廊下にレンジやオーブンの設置、そのテーブルにはおぼんと割り箸まで置いてあり親切だと思いました。. 施設内やお部屋は掃除が行き届いている感じがしました。 ただ布団ですが、敷布団用のシーツは畳んでおいてあり綺麗だったのですが、枕と掛け布団にはカバーが装着してあって、 ①前の宿泊客が使用したままなのか。 ②新しくカバーを装着した時に付いたのか。 理由がなんなのかはわかりませんが、縮れ毛や切れ毛等の毛が結構付いていて残念でした。 カバーはシワもなく装着されていたので①ではないと思いたいです。 部屋は大丈夫でしたが、とにかく部屋を1歩出ると、古いトイレの据えたアンモニアのにおいと古い建物特有のにおいが混ざりあった感じでちょっとキツかったです。 ニオイに敏感な人はツラいかもしれません… 素泊まりで、ゆっくりする目的での宿泊ではなかったので、布団に多数付着していた毛と通路の臭いさえ無ければ大満足でした。

“友よ静かに眠れ”

The water quality was all over the place, which didn't work out for me. The hotel itself had some good points, but unfortunately, this was a major issue.

“自然はたっぷり。でも田舎の温泉施設は少々寂しい。”

The hot spring was a definite highlight, but it was a bit unsettling when the staff left for the night and I was left alone in the big facility. Still, the hot spring was a major draw for me.
