“Horrible”

The pool was almost the only good thing; the cabins and location were fine, but overall it was just acceptable. The water smelled like sewage/feces, so much that it seemed like they used it for irrigation. When I turned on the tap for showering or washing, the odor was awful; I had to brush my teeth with bottled water—my first time in Morocco. Worse, there were cockroaches in the room, and the only thing they did was move me to another bungalow. I slept one night and left the next day; they didn’t bother to fumigate the room, refund me, or do anything. I travel to Morocco regularly and have stayed in all kinds of hotels, but this was the worst.

A fantastic stay at West Point Dakhla! Fedwa welcomed us warmly and handled everything professionally, and the whole team was friendly, available, and attentive—truly a wonderful experience, highly recommended.

“Tranquiles”

The location was good, the décor was nice, and it was quiet. The restaurant, however, was disappointing, and the buffet meals were not good.

I spent five nights from September 19 to September 24 at West Point Hotel. The staff were generally kind and welcoming, but my overall experience was disappointing because of major operational and cleanliness problems. The hotel offers an airport shuttle, which is a lifesaver, but if you arrive by car or taxi the name “West Point” is nowhere on the exterior, and even locals only know the area as “Pescado” because that restaurant’s sign is the only one visible. Better exterior signage is urgently needed. The paths between cabins are unpaved dirt, making it a real hassle to drag suitcases and move around the property. The rooms and cabins had a persistent bad smell, and housekeeping did not change sheets or pillowcases daily; flat‑bottom sheets were not used under the covers, so the covers touched the body directly and it was clear they weren’t laundered between guests. Towels were reused unless explicitly requested. The full‑board buffet was mediocre (“so so”). No bottled, mineral, or purified water was provided at the buffet; guests received filtered tap water from the sink. Coffee and tea were available via thermos at breakfast but not at lunch or dinner, and ordering them then incurred an extra charge.
