“Lovely place for a cheap stay”
The place is in Lonely Beach and the owner is sweet and helpful. The room I got was huge! The owner also runs a mini‑mart, which was very convenient, offering free tea, coffee, and toast in the mornings. She also provides laundry for 50 baht a kilo. Unfortunately, there was a mix‑up with my booking—despite reserving and paying weeks ahead, I arrived to find no room available. The owner quickly fixed it by contacting a nearby resort that accommodated me for three nights at no extra cost. When I finally moved into the Bamboo Hut, I was temporarily placed in a different room for one night before switching to the originally intended bungalow. The room was spacious, but my only real complaints were the lack of a fridge and an ant infestation in the bathroom that seemed to be eating away at the roof, leaving dust everywhere. I don’t think this applies to every room, though.
