The location was great, the staff were incredible, breakfast was solid, the restaurant was good, and the building itself had a nice heritage feel. However, my room was right where the stairs met the first‑floor landing, and many guests would stand and talk there even at 6 am, so the noise echoed into the room; a door sweep or foam block on rooms at the top of a landing would help reduce the noise.

The location was very good for sightseeing, the staff were very friendly and helpful, the rooms were clean, and the breakfast on the roof was pleasant and tasty (the weather was also nice). I was grateful for the early check‑in. The shower water had a slight odor, but I thought that was unavoidable given the location.

I liked the breakfast, the location, and the staff, but I wish I’d asked for a cleaning or a towel change; it didn’t happen, and for a two‑night stay that was just barely acceptable.
