Very good breakfast, good mattress, clean. The room and bathroom were small and a bit cramped.

We spent a night at Römer Hof. From the entrance we first felt the hotel was a bit old‑fashioned, but everything else was clean and the staff were extremely friendly – they even let us bring our dog to breakfast. We stayed in an apartment with a terrace (really a large balcony) and a kitchenette. Parking in the courtyard was plenty and spacious. We were greeted warmly, but unfortunately we arrived too early – the room wasn’t ready until 13:00. A short walk around the area was nice. The apartment was spotless, and the kitchen had a small fridge, a microwave and a kettle, all tidy. A short flight of stairs up led to the sleeping area with a double bed, a small sitting area and a TV. The tiny bathroom was attached and had a terrace; it was narrow but sufficient for us. We had our small dog with us – there are places to walk it on the street. The dog costs €10 per day. The signs in the courtyard banning dogs were not very appealing to me, but the hotel must have had some bad experiences. Breakfast was surprisingly good, offering everything one would expect from a decent breakfast, even oat milk and vegan spreads. I can only recommend the hotel if you’re looking for something a bit nostalgic. The dog signs in the courtyard triggered me as a dog owner. The 3€ tourist tax per person per day – do you really have to pay that everywhere?!

We were given a very spacious two‑room apartment that was spotless and just a few minutes’ walk from the campus. Parking spots are limited, but cars can easily be parked on the street.

The location is quiet and good, and the breakfast is decent, but the rooms are a bit small.
