Phangan Pearl Hostel

The locker (thankfully I had my own lock) was clean. They only provided a linen blanket, a sheet covering the mattress, and a pillow, plus soap in the shower and toilet paper. The room wasn’t comfortable; the AC was too cold and loud, not adjustable, and there was no bed curtain, so I froze all night and was annoyed by the intermittent hallway lights— a curtain would have helped privacy. Showers: bring your own towel! All of this for $49 CAD ($35 USD). If you’re not desperate to be in Haad Rin, at that price you could get a nice bungalow with a hammock by the sea, a pool, and sunset views. It’s the price of a good hostel dorm in Montreal— let’s be realistic!

“Rien à redire”

Clean and decent bedding, quiet even during the full moon, close to the beach and the party, shower and toilet were great.

“Very good”

The rooms matched the pictures, beds were comfy and the toilets were good. The bed frames weren’t very clean and the steps to the upper bed are very high, so you have to be careful climbing up. Other than that, I stayed during the full moon party, a busy time, and had no problems.

“Rigtig fint ophold - meget tilfreds”

The rooms were big and comfortable, and most of them stayed tidy, but the toilets felt a little dirty.
