The place was quiet, clean, and the service was excellent; the staff were very pleasant and helpful.

“Overall it was a mixed experience, some very good,, other things very poor”

Reception, Dinner with friends. 1. The bathroom had 3 problems - the shower support bracket did not work, - the radiator did not work , hence damp towels,- the sink was partly blocked and came close to overflowing whilst running the tap to get some hot water. 2. Breakfast was fine, on my first morning - I only wanted porridge not the complex dishes offered on the menu. For the second morning when I asked for porridge again, I was told the 'new chef does not know how to make porridge'. I expressed my disbelief, but had to accept something from the menu, which I did not want, nor enjoy and left uneaten. 3. The bedroom walls must be very thin since the noise from other guests was quite disturbing during the early hours of night time

“Just the friendliest staff and most comfortable beds ever”

The beds were the comfiest and the breakfasts were the best. The showers were a bit cramped, but that was the only drawback.

“Lovely but pricey”

Breakfast was very good, and the room was nice, especially the lovely bathroom. However, we felt the price for one night was high. We arrived on a Sunday afternoon and expected at least a sandwich for dinner, but no food was available.

“Comfortable and perfect for my requirements”

Helpful staff and a nicely renovated hotel, plus a good breakfast, but the road outside was a bit noisy at night and the fire door outside my room made a clanging sound whenever someone slammed it shut.
