“Good for a weekend stay”

I’ve always liked the vibe at this Aloft. The staff were super friendly, the lobby/bar area is a fun spot to hang out, and the location works well for me. However, when we arrived for coffee and breakfast this time, the lobby looked in need of a serious clean‑up. A cleaner came while we were eating, but maybe they should start earlier? At 7:30 a.m., the tables were tacky, the chairs were dirty, and everything seemed like it needed a wash before we could sit and eat. This is the second time the lobby has felt like it’s been taken over by kid sports teams – though the staff remain generally friendly and respectful.

The lobby coffee was great, but there should be more parking.

“Should have been better for the price.”

The pool was beautiful and the surroundings interesting, yet the vanity lighting was poor, the pillows terrible, and the shower floor slippery.

“decent, good but not great”

I liked the location and the facilities, except for the pillows. I didn’t appreciate that there was no free breakfast; everything, even coffee, fruit, and chips, had a price tag.

The location was fine, but room 528 had a horrible bed—an old, heavily used mattress with a hole or indentation on one side, topped with a mattress topper, making it the most uncomfortable bed I’ve ever slept on, which is very disappointing for a $200 a night hotel room. I stayed because of the location, which was great, and I’ve had good experiences at ALOFT properties before, but this particular room and experience will make me rethink staying with the brand.
