The hotel sports a sleek, eco‑friendly design and sits in a newly built, former industrial area of Lyon; we liked the shared terrace on the first floor and the tasty breakfast, and the room with a view of the Saône was definitely worth the extra cost.

The room was cozy, but after paying online I was asked for a €150 deposit on my credit card when I arrived—first time for me, and not ideal since the deposit is only returned two days after checkout.

The stay at MOB Hôtel was excellent: the room, location and Saône view from the terrace were top, the staff were super friendly and attentive, the restaurant was great, and the overall vibe, including the rooftop, was fantastic, with a good quality breakfast. However, the terrace lacked privacy because it opens directly onto other terraces; there were no travel accessories like cotton swabs in the bathroom; the breakfast selection could have been more varied; and the room sound‑proofing was poor—door slams were loud and I sometimes felt someone entering my room.
