Tempat tidur 8.5/10 · disebut oleh 5 tamu
A small pension in the middle of nature. The staff were very welcoming and available. The dinner was excellent and the breakfast was good. The atmosphere was very family‑friendly.
“absolutely magical. can't wait to come back!”
Everything was AMAZING! We all really loved the place and our stay. Katja was so very helpful, in the run up to our arrival and once we were there. We booked a sauna experience and dinner for our last night and both were fantastic. we were made to feel so welcome. A self‑catering option for the twin rooms would be good for longer stays, and a slightly bigger fridge!
We spent four days at the Wilderness Lodge and it was really great. The surroundings so close to the Russian border impressed us. The accommodation is really in some nowhere but we had a nice room, the breakfast was the best during our 3.5 weeks in Finland and we had the possibility to go to the sauna every day, which we really enjoyed. The experience of the smoke sauna was new and we liked it very much. The two owners cooked for the guests every evening (there were never more than four or five) and that was kitchen at a very high level. We also had the first northern lights of our holiday there, which thrilled us. Those who like solitude and primality will probably feel at home there. Nothing, everything was great.
“Accueil typiquement finlandais en Laponie du sud”
A warm Finnish welcome by the lake, close to the Russian border and a bear‑watching point.
Very nice, located in the wilderness and therefore very quiet. The breakfast was phenomenal. The hosts are very attentive and welcoming, as is Nätti the dog. Reindeer visit the property regularly (very annoying for Nätti). Nearby you find 2 companies offering bear watching in Hides.
