Overall the place was fine and the shared kitchen was spacious, but the cleanliness could be better. There is no AC, which is common in Berlin, so keep that in mind for summer bookings; even in September we kept our room window open for a cooler breeze.

The location was good. The kitchen had very few utensils—no glasses, no cleaning cloth, and the microwave was disgusting, just like the coffee maker and oven weren’t cleaned daily. One of the beds had a broken part that was smashed.

The front‑desk staff and the breakfast team were fantastic. The courtyard setting, where you could also eat something you ordered, was awesome. Unfortunately, the breakfast was a bit bland: only one type of roll, the coffee wasn’t strong, and a wider fruit selection would have been nice.

The reception and all the staff were great. The only downside was the lack of a toaster and glasses in the shared kitchen, which would have been handy.
