The hostess Stefania was outstanding—warm, knowledgeable, and offered great recommendations—but it would have helped if the shared bathroom situation was made clearer.

The house at Stefania’s grandma’s is a charm. The antique furniture is stunning, the garden is very charming, and the cleanliness is impeccable. I fell in love with the place.

The location is good, but having only one bathroom for three guest rooms is unacceptable, especially at that price. I also find it odd to have to take off shoes at the front door when I’m paying so much.

Situated in the Cannaregio district, the place is a quick walk from the train station and you can almost dodge the crowds, and it’s also close to the vaporetto stops. The host was very friendly and gave us restaurant tips, even with discounts, and the garden is gorgeous for relaxing.
