The inn is a real treat – every corner is decked out in “Chaves” colors and room numbers, making you feel like you’ve stepped into the show. It sits right next to shops, a handful of restaurants for any budget, Bar Forró, Buraco do Tatu and that famous bakery, and Dylan at breakfast is always smiling and keeps the spread tidy and tasty.

This little guesthouse feels cozy and sits in a sweet spot – far enough from the music festivals to stay quiet, yet only a ten‑minute walk to the venues. The owner and staff went out of their way to make me comfortable, always friendly and ready to help. I can’t think of anything that bothered me.

Vila do Chaves is a no‑frills pousada that gives you everything you need to settle in Itaunas: safe neighbourhood, rooms with mini‑fridge and air‑conditioning, and Dilan’s warm, friendly service. Its location is spot‑on, and the basics are all there. I didn’t encounter any problems.
