The highlight was the breakfast the next morning; nearby there’s a good restaurant and a bar with music, and the walk to Itatiaia National Park and waterfalls was great. The only downside was the big staircase up to the rooms, but we knew about it before booking.

I liked how welcoming everyone was and the breakfast was fantastic!!! The room was tiny and you hear a lot of noise from the neighboring rooms.

The lodge is nice and close to Maromba’s little center; from the terrace in front of my room I could see the hills to the north. I had to postpone my stay to the next day, and the manager was understanding and changed the date. Because my knee was hurt, the long stairs were a bit of a problem, and breakfast starts at 8:00, so I missed it since I had to leave early.
