“Tout de même déçu”
The scenery was gorgeous, the house roomy, and the garden’s multiple levels pleasant, but there were too many unexpected items that made the discovery unpleasant. The dry toilets were shared by five people and four of us didn’t like them. Internet was almost impossible to get, and the phone was the same, even though there were three different operators. It’s not a death‑trap, yet everyone goes on holiday hoping to stay connected, and that wasn’t really possible. The amenities list mentioned DVD, but there was no TV—how does that work? Watching TV can be nice, especially on a rainy day. Sound isolation between the lower room and the first floor is nonexistent; everyone hears everything, and the noise from moving around is doubled by the wood. Another factor is the region itself: it’s beautiful but too winding for us, with roads that make crossing another vehicle a real sport.
