A rich buffet breakfast and evening bar are available. Ski lifts are 3 km away, Königssee Lake 5 km away, and the Austrian border 10 minutes by car, with free private parking provided.

Only 5‑10 walking minutes to the train station/ZOB. From there buses go in all directions, which is great for day trips. The city centre can also be reached on foot in a few minutes. The absolute highlight was the view of the Watzmann from my room! The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and had everything essential. Unfortunately, I didn’t have time to use the pool, sauna, whirlpool, etc., but I’d like to try them next time. Breakfast was extensive and had something for everyone. I can only recommend the hotel and would gladly return when I vacation in Berchtesgaden. One tiny suggestion: along with the kettle, coffee, milk, and sugar, I would have liked a few tea bags.

I loved everything except the air conditioning, which would have made it flawless; as an American, I also wished for a top sheet.
