The room was beautifully decorated and the location excellent. Food choices were limited, likely because of an ongoing gas cylinder issue.

The place looks amazing with views of lush greenery everywhere, and the room was huge with extra seating. The staff were sweet and respectful, and the location is great if you want to stay in that part of Goa. The food, however, was disappointing – some junk snacks were okay but overall it felt like 2015. The AC remote being hidden behind cabinets is odd and needs fixing. A corporate event was happening nearby and got a bit loud, even though the people were respectful, but it did take over the hotel atmosphere.

Initially I booked it for 3 nights, but then we spent New Year’s Eve and beginning of January at this beautiful place. I very much liked the hospitality, beautiful architecture and tranquility of the hotel. The manager Laxman and his team are amazing people. The hotel is conveniently located to explore north and south Goa from it. Next door there is a taxi park, so hiring a car was always smooth and easy. The hotel is surrounded by lush greenery, has two pools, and good food with very wide menu, so some days we could stay at the property all day long. The rooms are spacious and give a feeling of transitional Portuguese house. I very much enjoyed this boutique atmosphere. Food is great, people are great, always helpful and serving almost like a concierge, helping with any travel planning. At New Year’s Eve many big hotels are usually noisy. But here it was so peaceful, just what we needed for relaxation. Would definitely come back and recommend all my friends traveling to India. If you prefer big hotels, chain standards, a lot of land or parties, this is not the one. However there is a riverside club in 5 minutes walk, Candolim beach and many restaurants, clubs around it, you can still go out often

Nothing positive – it was horrific. It was one of the weirdest, most unpleasant hotels I’ve ever stayed in. On arrival they said they wouldn’t accept card payments and would drive me to an ATM. The room was dark, dreary, and the furniture looked newly renovated but the front of the building had been painted to look better. We ate in the restaurant; the food was the worst we’ve had in India. At about 8 am for breakfast, the waiter asked if I’d “do him a favour” and have breakfast in the room because other guests might think we hadn’t paid, even though breakfast was included in the room rate. I said we didn’t want breakfast in the room. He said it was dingy and the last place I wanted to eat, then told me “you can come back and sit in the restaurant after you’re finished” – seriously! It was a horror hotel, so we checked out and moved on. The experience was very uncomfortable and surreal. When we checked out early and explained why, the reception called the manager who spoke to me on the phone. He was useless and clearly the cause of the chaos. He said, “Sir, you can now go and eat in the restaurant” with no offer to refund the cash I had paid upfront. My advice: DO NOT STAY HERE… it’s an awful place.

The decor and room size are great. Maintenance of the property and the breakfast spread could use improvement.
