“Géniale expérience 😍”

We loved the experience! The sunrise view was amazing, and being on this houseboat surrounded by water with such a view was truly incredible. Moving around the lake with our little boat and watching the wildlife was great. The location is extra and the houseboat very comfortable. Discovering the small island of Kaag and its surroundings by docking at the pier gave a nice sense of freedom. Plus, after picking up the car at the parking lot 15 minutes by boat, we were close to the lovely city of Leiden, the small village of Warmond, not far from Delft, Utrecht, Amsterdam… The dry toilets were a choice we understand. The washing machine didn’t work because the water pressure was too low, but that’s part of the experience. It would help to have a map at check‑in, as we had no way to orient ourselves on the lake and only saw the route once with the Surla team. The next day, after getting lost, we asked for help and were sent a map immediately, with more assistance offered if needed. The team is very responsive and friendly.

“An Extremely Unique Experience”

The location on a protected section of de Kaag is outstanding—beautiful sunrises, great wildlife, and plenty of water. The tender lets you explore the lake freely, and the staff are very friendly. The boat is well equipped for cooking, relaxing, and even watching football matches. I’m not sure if it’s my fault for not knowing, but there are some camping‑like aspects: bugs, a dry toilet, and other boats mooring and motoring nearby. Transporting groceries is a challenge, though taking the tender to town can be part of the fun. We’re a flexible group, so we had a great time, but if you’re expecting a city houseboat, this experience may surprise you.

The view, the tender trips, and the solitary accommodation on the lake are simply amazing—unforgettable and unique. The journey was difficult because the tender numbers were nowhere to be found and we struggled to locate our tender. Better directions are needed. The staff didn’t really address concerns and sometimes gave no answer at all.

“Wundervoller Kurzurlaub mit viel Wasser und Natur”

Using the tender to reach the houseboat and for shopping was definitely an adventure. The sunrise and sunset were wonderful, and it’s lovely to listen to the wildlife. Only a few minor issues: the deck cushions were wet and not very inviting, and after we mentioned it, they said they had already noticed. My suggestion: dry and clean the cushions before guests arrive. The dry toilet takes some getting used to, but it worked well overall. If the first contact with the owner over WhatsApp was an AI, that should be revised—it was confusing.

“Entspannter Urlaub im gemütlichen Bootshaus - traumhaft”

The boat was really well equipped, the beds were very comfortable, and the fireplace was perfect for a cozy evening.
