It was a wonderful place to stay, with Leanne and Andy as great hosts. The food was delicious and entirely homemade, and they even gave us a lift when our rental car broke down—nothing was too much trouble.

The owners were very friendly and welcoming. We arrived exhausted, but they helped us with our bags and were happy to meet us. The room had everything we needed plus a lounge with amazing views after the rain passed. Breakfast was delicious, all homemade, and overall a wonderful place to stay.

Punawai Homestay is a top stay. The couple hosts are super friendly and welcoming, the accommodation is great and spacious, and the homemade breakfast is an extra plus. Absolutely recommended for your stay at Taupo!

The hosts were fantastic, the interior felt modern and tasteful, and the guest lounge offered stunning views over Taupo. The neighborhood was very quiet, and the breakfast was delicious.
