“Excellent option for la union. Close enough to walk to the beach, on the main highway, and far enough from the maddenin”
The rooms were spotless and the spa had a pleasant scent. Parking, however, was tight.
We spent about a week at the Frania Boutique Hotel in San Juan, La Union, and it offered good value and a great spot for our La Union activities. The hotel is in the province but still has air‑conditioning and Wi‑Fi. Trike taxi stands line MacArthur Highway for those who didn’t drive. You can walk to the beach or the nearby Jollibee, but a 50‑peso trike is a better option. Must‑try local eats include Kabsat and Masa Bakery. Within an hour you can head north to Luna or south to Agoo. San Juan proper is only a few kilometers away, and San Fernando is not far in the opposite direction. The staff were friendly and helpful whenever we needed something. An electricity outage occurred, but the hotel ran its generator. If you want air‑conditioning and Wi‑Fi in San Juan without paying for beachfront access, Frania could be a solid pick. One of us found the bed sheets itchy after a night’s sleep.
“Nice stay”
The property was clean and conveniently located near tourist spots, bars, and cafés, yet it remained quiet at night.
“👍”
The hotel isn’t beachfront, but tricycles were ready outside. The price matched its location. Our room was clean, new, and cozy. Breakfast could have been better.
