Mill Pond Inn

The room was shockingly filthy: sheets and pillows were stained, the floor was littered with hair, mirrors were splattered, the nightstand was shriveled with dried contact lenses, and the metal headboard was dusty and covered in splattered fluid; the wall behind it was also splattered and infested with bugs. There was zero service, Wi‑Fi barely worked, and attempts to reach the owner were ignored—she claimed she’d call back but never did. We had to leave for a nearby wedding and end up staying at a Marriott 45 minutes away. I do not recommend this place.

“Stupendous stay at Millpond overall top notch.”

The Millpond accommodations were the best overall: a lovely room, picturesque countryside, amazing food, and friendly hostesses.

“Lovely short stay.”

Room 4 was very clean and cute, the bed was small but comfortable, and the temperature was just right. The tavern food was amazing, and the owner, a lad, was extremely kind—every staff member was friendly. The inn sits close to a lake and a nice forest, though we were there too briefly to explore. The atmosphere was lovely and we’d love to return. A desk in the room would have been useful, and more breakfast options would be nice; being just above the tavern made it a bit noisy, but nothing terrible.

“THERE FOR A WEDDING, WAS VERY CLOSE- CAN WAIT TO GO BACK AND TRY THE TAVERN”

The location was great, and the continental breakfast was on par with most other venues. Everything was perfect—owners are super people.

“A great Inn in a lovely part of New York.”

David and Joan were great owners: very friendly and eager to help in any way. A big plus was the inn’s restaurant, with an excellent chef, kitchen staff, and table staff. My wife and I enjoyed a wonderful six‑day stay.
