The staff were super nice, the lodge stayed clean and was cleaned daily. We had to check out early, and the reception opened earlier for us. The location is great, right in the busiest street near restaurants, so highly recommended!

The pool is lovely and the restaurant is good for breakfast, lunch, and drinks. Within a few minutes on foot you reach the river, where you can also swim and often spot monkeys. It is very centrally located in the village, with restaurants and a small supermarket nearby and the NP entrance 10 minutes on foot. The garden and the house are simple, but everything meets expectations. Daily cleaning is available if you want. The receptionist handles everything for you and gives good advice. You can get a massage on site and book various trips such as tubing (recommended with kids!). The curtains in the bathroom of our cabin did not seal, but no pests were seen. I would not recommend the day‑night trip via the Bamboo Lodges. The stay in the lakehouse SaiChol was very simple (little and unappetizing food and the hardest bed ever) and at the end of the trip we were dumped at a restaurant at 11 am for “lunch”. That consisted of free Fried Rice as we were told, but in return for that we were asked to buy smoothies so they could still earn something. Then we waited for an hour for the drinks, which later turned out to be a time‑stretching trick so that it could be considered a two‑day trip.

Breakfast was okay. I had breakfast and dinner. After the first dinner I immediately developed stomach pain that spread into a food poisoning, which limited my vacation ability… I no longer ate there.

The hotel is in a great location. The pool is very pleasant and there is a jungle‑sleeping atmosphere. For children they only provided wool blankets without covers. The cleanliness was only explainable and they also cut back on towels (no hand towels). The staff barely spoke English and it was hard to communicate with them.
