Tilya Resort Hotel

The water park was great for kids. The hotel’s indoor pool isn’t meant for tourists. After 5 pm only men are allowed in… it’s very uncomfortable. If I’d known, I would have chosen a different hotel.

Everything was nice, tidy, and clean. No complaints.

The location, comfy rooms, and sea view were great. Breakfast was really limited, not well‑filled, no coffee, and you’d have to go to the pool snack bar that opens at 11 am. They didn’t offer any regional specialties like the kuymak shown in the photos. Overall, it was quite mediocre. Too many outsiders were allowed into the pool, making it crowded, with no control over behavior or dress (e.g., a man entered in jeans and nobody said anything). Hygiene was not very good.

I liked the location, especially having my own car and the free on‑site parking; check‑in was quick, and the pool with slides was a nightmare to get a child out of. Breakfast was described as monotonous but in reality it was fine, just some items ran out and you had to wait while they were replenished – for example, the pancakes disappeared, then were brought out again later. The room was decent, with clean bedding and towels. For lunch by the pool you could order a burger, fries, sandwich, tea, coffee or ice‑cream, or walk 300 m down the road to a café where the food was excellent; the staff didn’t speak Russian or English but the girl was friendly and we managed everything with gestures, Google Translate and pictures. Across the street a little to the left a food truck sold fried fish wrapped in bread, which my wife, after binge‑watching Turkish series, was eager to try and loved. The fish was tasty. The downside was that, despite mentioning twice during booking that we were traveling with a six‑year‑old and needed an extra bed, none was provided at check‑in; the reception said they’d add one, nodded, but never brought it. Mustafa, the hotel representative on the booking platform, finally replied the next day saying a bed could be added for €15. Since we were only staying two nights we didn’t bother, but had we been told the price up front we would have paid it. We ended up squeezing three of us and the child onto the existing large bed for the second night.

Thank you to all the front‑desk staff for being responsive and for booking rooms close to each other. The breakfast was repeated for three consecutive days and there was no variety. The rooms were cleaned during a 3‑day stay, but they were not cleaned.
