MARE Tropea Boutique Rooms

“Sehr gute Location, schönes und ruhiges Zimmer. Jedoch deutlich kleiner als im Inseratetext”

I stayed in a very nice, modern room that was well situated. The patio, complete with chairs and a small table, was comfortable and handy. The cleaning lady, Elena, was extremely friendly. The room I originally booked, number 1, was only about 13–14 m², so tiny and offered no space for luggage or storage. After speaking with the host, we were moved to room 2, which is around 18 m²—not the 28 m² advertised (the room is good). Breakfast was supposed to be included, but we could only redeem a voucher at a bar for two coffees and a croissant; on days the bar was closed, there was no breakfast at all. Several other guests have complained about these same issues, yet the listing hasn’t been updated.

“Top Unterkunft in Tropea!”

The location was great, the modern setup was impressive, and the bed was comfortable. Daily housekeeping was excellent, with a very warm cleaning staff, and free parking was right on the street. Breakfast could be had at a nearby café with a voucher, and it was tasty. We could reach the old town and the beach in a few minutes, and at night we enjoyed peace and quiet. The terrace had plenty of space, and a clothesline was available to dry beach towels. We’d book this place again! A towel hook by the sink in the bathroom would be handy.

“Alle sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Geschmackvolle Unterkunft mit Gartenoase. Preisleistung stimmt jedoch nicht.”

The décor was tasteful, the garden was lovely, and the location was quiet. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. When we inserted the key card, the issue was fixed immediately. The place was very clean, and both the room and the garden were cleaned daily. The listing says the rooms are 28 m², but the room itself is actually very small. With the bathroom and garden added, it probably reaches that figure. Unfortunately, the fridge didn’t stay cold and the Wi‑Fi in our corner room was mostly non‑functional, forcing us to move to other areas for a connection that lasted only a short time.

The location is excellent, close to the center and within a reasonable walking distance to the sea.

The proximity to the city center and the beach, the cleanliness, and the patio with a shower were positives. Negatives: no mirror in the room, no safety deposit box, and the fridge lacked a bottle opener.
