“Sehr gut, wenn man mit dem Bad leben kann”

The breakfast on the terrace was world‑class! Ocean view and the sister islands. Twice I watched dolphins from the breakfast area (8‑day stay). Breakfast itself: fresh fruit was sliced and served appetizingly, plus toast, small cakes (egg cakes every 3 days), three kinds of muesli, egg dishes on request (boiled, fried, scrambled, omelette), jam, butter, honey, yogurt; also fruit juices and a smoothie. It was very abundant and tasty. Only sausage lovers would miss something. The room was spacious, had a beautiful balcony view, and a strong air conditioner. The staff were great, very friendly and helpful. Suitcases were gladly brought to the room (some steps to climb). There was also a free pick‑up and drop‑off service to the harbor in an electric vehicle. Bikes could be delivered to the hotel. The boat‑trip provider offered by the hotel was also very good (please call, other channels don’t work). The two neighboring coves are both very different but usable. At low tide, Anse Severe is too shallow to swim (beware of coral injuries in the surf there!) and also in the tiny Patate (much more waves at SO‑Passat!) you have to be very careful with large rocks in the water at low tide. Patate: best to use the hotel’s large free loungers. Shower and toilet available. At Anse Severe: 2 loungers cost 100 rupees—about 5€. Plus several beach bars. In my view it’s the best location on the island: outside the surprisingly lively town, very quiet yet close enough to reach all amenities on foot (or by bike; about 10€/day). The bathroom! It really drags down the overall impression. However, everything was clean and functional. It just needs renovation. The shower is very small and old. All our deductions were solely for the bathroom. Otherwise we would have given full marks in all categories.

The staff were very friendly and attentive, and the location and views of the hotel are truly spectacular. Breakfast is well supplied with fruit, crepes, eggs with bacon… The room is generally very large, with a good terrace and views; the only drawback is the somewhat old bathroom and the small shower. The bathroom is a bit outdated and the shower is very small.

“Perfect location for a few days in La Digue. e-bike recommended as on a hill.”

Very friendly staff and excellent breakfast. Location was exceptional, fantastic views of indian ocean. Hotel was a bit dated and no on site restaurant for dinner
