The newly refurbished rooms had air conditioning, yet the bed sat on a mezzanine under the roof that you had to climb up a steep staircase to reach, and the sleeping area had no windows or exhaust; the AC was barely audible, so we ran the table fan all night.

Spacious room. The buffet breakfast had a limited selection and the food quality was just adequate. The interiors are quite old‑fashioned. The towels are old. The road to the property is unpaved, full of stones and ditches. One of the nightstands was covered in dust.

Set in green surroundings, quiet and close to Empoli. Everything is perfect, breakfast is excellent, the room is very, very spacious. The only downside was the lack of a desk for a PC in the room, which mattered for my work stay, but it was really irrelevant.

We were warmly welcomed and enjoyed a great dinner at the house with good Italian entertainment. ;-) Unfortunately we had to leave the next day.

Totally responsive staff, gorgeous location, huge room, spotless, breakfast superb! Only thing missing were a few shampoo mini‑shakers.
