The site is very remote and gives you a real outdoors feeling; the ranch has about 50 well‑maintained horses, and horse‑riding is included. The meals that come with the price are very sparse; I expected more variety for the cost, but there was only one menu, no choice at all, and the portions were too small. Aside from horse‑riding, there are few or no other activities.

Everything was good, the family and staff were friendly, the horses were lovely, and the food was good. It was a bit tricky to find the place, and the GPS worked poorly in the desert.

We had a great time at the ranch, tucked away in the Mohave desert. JP and his family were wonderful hosts. We’d have liked to sit around the firepit and chat with other guests, but since we arrived on a Sunday and there was just us and a family of four, it felt more like a private retreat. JP cooked excellently, and the water tasted better than any we’ve had before. Horseback riding was a highlight, and we have to thank wrangler Lance and his lovely wife for their warm welcome, kindness, and patience—they’re a huge plus for the ranch.
