The location is great, breakfast is excellent, and the owners are friendly and helpful. The only issue was the lack of a towel rail in the bathroom for bath towels; the radiator rail made moving around the bed awkward.

I liked the quiet area, and it was close to amenities like Wetherspoons and a few nearby eateries. South Pier and Pleasure Beach were a short walk away, and the tram service from the pier area was convenient. The staff were welcoming and easy to chat with. Breakfast was plentiful and offered many choices. The room was spotless and very comfortable. The bar area and breakfast room were spacious. Entry doors were locked at all times with key‑fob entry. I can’t fault it at all and will return sometime. Nothing to add; everything was great.

I stayed at The Withnell Hotel to catch a band in Blackpool's center, and the clean room and excellent service made the trip worthwhile, though I only wish the stay had lasted longer.

The hotel’s great location near the beach and eateries, plus a tasty breakfast with many options and helpful staff, were offset by a noticeable cat smell that might bother those allergic or simply not fond of cats.
