“Good location at a reasonable price”

The location was great, the building looked a bit run down but the bathroom and room were spotless and the staff kept the shared areas tidy, which impressed me (or maybe the other guests were just very clean). However, my room was hard to move around in because of the sloping roof, and there was almost no seating or place to relax except the bed or a single chair.

The location was excellent, just 5 minutes from a major tube line, and the check‑in instructions were clear and secure. The place is basic and pretty domestic but convenient, so I’d recommend it for travelers who aren’t too fussy. The room had a slightly damp/mouldy feel due to poor ventilation, and the walls were a bit thin, letting me hear other guests talking quite clearly.

The towels and bedding were clean, and the bathroom was spotless. It was decent for what it was, but probably better suited to a seasoned London visitor because of its location. The window didn’t close or lock properly, so leaving our stuff in the room felt risky; there was damp in the wall near the drawers, making the plug socket unusable. The duvet contained feathers, which I’m allergic to, and we weren’t told about that. Finally, the location was far from the parts of London we wanted to see, making it feel like student accommodation.

The host was very honest about a lot of things, and the room was nice and spacious!
