“Ошский променад.”
I was pretty happy with almost everything. The staff were responsive and friendly. The location was within walking distance of the city’s central square. The room had everything you need: a wide bed, a well‑working TV, and you could come and go whenever you wanted. All shower accessories were provided – slippers, a hair dryer, a toothbrush and toothpaste. Tea and coffee cups were there, along with a tea pot, and the guest house even offered tea and coffee as a present. A litre bottle of water could be bought at reception for 50 som, which is a reasonable price. On the downside, there was no fridge in the room (there was one in the corridor, but you had to ask the reception for the key to use it). The room also lacked a small pot for boiling noodles, a knife, and salt – I did receive them when I asked at reception, but it was inconvenient. Laundry cost 500 Kyrgyz som, which I think is a bit pricey, and drying the clothes was 50 som – maybe I’m being stingy, but that’s how I felt.
