The place is beautiful and spacious—perfect for families. I would have liked to park our car closer to the property, but that wasn’t a major issue.

The place is beautiful and had everything we needed. The fireplace kept us warm and cozy during our cold-weather trip. The location was a bit problematic for me because of the high noise from the school next door, which I wasn’t aware of while traveling during the week.

We, a family of six with a 22‑month‑old baby, stayed overnight at The Risa House for a wedding at Oakfield Farm. The interior is beautiful and the gardens are lovely even in winter. The staff are friendly and helpful. The indoor fireplace is lovely, and there are plenty of heaters and electric blankets on the beds for cold nights and early mornings. The shower is excellent, and each bedroom has its own ensuite bathroom/shower. We had enough parking for our three vehicles. I wish we could stay longer to enjoy the hot tub. I’ll definitely return for a weekend and also visit the Spa, which is on the same premises as Woodlands Healing Spa. Occasionally, there’s a bad smell from somewhere in the open‑plan kitchen‑living area—like a drain.
