Breakfast is actually good and the beds are reasonably comfy, but the windows need screens because flies and sometimes birds keep coming in; a bird even pooped an egg on the floor. I tried to upcharge my friend by 50 pounds.

This hostel in northern Dahab is super relaxed, tucked away from the main tourist strip yet still keeps that old Egyptian village feel while giving access to air‑conditioned cafés and restaurants. If you’re moving around Dahab, just wave and a taxi will pull over, you agree on a price, and you’re off—Uber without an app. The staff are super friendly and throw in social events like courtyard concerts at night, which is a lot of fun. The guests are all super nice, and there’s a kitchen where many cook; you can buy fresh meat, fish, veggies, and more from the street outside.
