The setting is stunning, with breathtaking views. The outdoor common areas, including the pool and lounge spaces, are lovely. The staff, especially Nino, are gracious and work hard to help guests, making them very friendly. The breakfast was very nice, with plenty of varied options each day, and we were greeted with complimentary wine. The rooms we had were very spacious with a very comfortable bed, providing a quiet retreat close to Montalcino. The only downside is that if you opt for a kitchenette, it lacks some basic items compared to other places we’ve stayed – just a small amount of salt, pepper, and oil would be a kind gesture. Some furnishings are a bit worn or uncomfortable in the suite living areas, and the rooms are called different names, which can be confusing when trying to confirm what you booked.
