River view Onsen

A remarkably renovated hotel in the mountains along the Ure River. We booked it as a stopover, but we actually didn’t want to leave! You can have breakfast overlooking the birds fishing and swimming in the water, and the onsen offers a unique experience by the river. The owner is very friendly and serves a delicious breakfast. We would love to return to spend more time enjoying this place and the surroundings!

A magical place for complete relaxation.👌We really wanted to stay at this hotel and we were not disappointed. 👍The hotel is located in a quiet and cozy spot amid picturesque nature and on the riverbank. Everything is in Japanese style and there is a private onsen with an amazing view of the river. Unlike other faceless hotels, this welcoming home has soul! The rooms are very spacious, all made of eco‑clean wood, breathable, fresh linens and a luxurious panoramic view of the river. 👍Here you feel cared for, with an extra room that has a fridge, kettle, dishes and food. The hotel focuses on breakfasts and the breakfast here is very tasty! If you need to wash or dry, there’s also a separate room for that. Everything is thought out to the smallest detail for comfort and coziness. In the evening many go down to the hall, where the cozy atmosphere invites you to listen to music, have tea or relax with a book in a chair. 👍It’s very convenient to do trekking to attractions from the hotel (weather permitting) and there are many. My advice is to stay a few days so you can not only enjoy the hot onsen but also walk to waterfalls, caves and sacred monasteries. ❤️I especially want to mention the incredibly hospitable and wonderful owner, Mr. Kato, who did so much for us foreigners and saved our rainy days by showing us the beautiful rice terraces, waterfall and museum. We were amazed by his wide heart and kindness! Because of the rain our train was cancelled and Mr. Kato again rescued us by taking us to the station in another city, an amazing soul! A big salute to you, Mr. Kato! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ We will definitely return!

With my wife we loved the fantastic unique and relaxing location just on the river side! The very old Japanese style home was perfectly restored with a lot of attention and passion from the owner Kato-san! He is very friendly and open‑mind person! Arigatogozaimasu, grazie C&H! You must have a car to find and enjoy local food and beautiful surroundings!
