“Ottima accoglienza in Uzbekistan”

The spot is spot-on, the owners are super friendly and speak English, the shower is huge, the bathroom kit is solid, breakfast is amazing. The only downside is the quadruple room’s private bathroom is outside the room.

The hostel is right by the east gate, which could be handy for day‑tourers, and there’s a guide even if you don’t use it. The Wi‑Fi doesn’t work, the lighting is dim, the room feels cramped and unclean, the shower stays cold even after 10 minutes, and when I asked staff they pointed to the green side instead of the red, which is confusing and not recommended. After staying two nights on Old Street, I wanted a three‑night stay here but it was full, so I booked a different place that cost $3 more and I won’t return.

It’s a great place, the family running it is very helpful and kind. It could be cleaner, though.

The staff were very helpful, keeping luggage for a friend and letting me use the bathroom. I misplaced my key (don’t put it on the colorful mosaic tile) and they gave me a spare until I found it. The location is inside the old town, near the north wall, a very quiet and calm area. The bathroom is spacious and the showers are strong. The water cooler is very helpful! It’s a longer walk to the action, but that’s a pro or con depending on how you look at it.

The location is unbeatable, the staff are nice, breakfast is good. The bed feels a bit hard.
