The accommodation was modern and clean, and the building was secure. There was a balcony that faced the courtyard, and the bathroom was also clean. The air‑conditioning worked well. A train station and a supermarket were nearby. The apartment’s location was in a run‑down neighbourhood, with a lot of trash on the floor that made me feel uneasy as a woman. The nearby beach was also littered and not good for swimming. The next coves could only be reached by train or bus. There were no balcony chairs, so we had to take chairs from inside. Oddly, the kitchen had no plates, so we had to buy two. The pots were still wrapped. The kitchen and dining area had no air‑conditioning, so it was always very hot there.

“Definitely would recommend!”

It sat beautifully next to the beach, the facilities were nice and well kept, and the staff were warm and accommodating. The location was convenient for trips to Naples proper, Pompeii, and other museums. It was unusually far from the train station compared to the maps, and there was no Wi‑Fi in the unit itself, but otherwise it was manageable.

The room was well furnished. The street was a lively, natural Neapolitan street with many holes.

When booking, you really have to be careful because not all rooms have a terrace, and we didn’t get the room we had booked. We wanted to cancel, but the host could barely speak English and only spoke Italian.

The view from the balcony was amazing. In the morning we had coffee, in the evening wine, sat and enjoyed the view – it was wonderful! Between the beach and the apartment there is a train line. The train runs often, but it never caused any delay, even though it is a daily routine for the area. Moreover, the metro station (Pietrarsa‑S. Giorgio A Cremano) is only 500 m/7 min away and can take you to Naples centre, Pompeii or even Salerno. Very convenient. The apartment was newly renovated, so it was very pleasant and cozy. The staff were very polite and friendly, they didn’t speak English, but we managed with a phone translator. The kitchen was only in the 3‑room area. During our stay, the other guests were also quiet. Near (~400 m) there is a great pizzeria. The neighbourhood is fairly quiet and not overrun by tourists. The multi‑family courtyard is very tidy and well‑kept, closed off. The kitchen didn’t have glass, a coffee pot, frying pans or a pot, so we couldn’t use it. There was a capsule/packaged coffee machine, so we could get hot water from there. Maybe the owners just haven’t had time to buy it yet. It was hard to find the apartment because the address only goes to the gate of the courtyard. And there was no information about how to get to the last (B2) floor, so the gate guard didn’t know anything about the apartment, which made us feel uneasy. It was a bit slow. Instead of 15 min, it took 18 min. The Italian service was nice. Plus we got a discount! The balcony, the view and the weight were most important to me, so these little details didn’t ruin the trip – I would definitely come back.
