We had a truly enjoyable stay at Ecostay Glamping Rainbow Forest; the place is set in nature, peaceful and very welcoming. The owners were extremely friendly and always ready to help, making for a relaxing, authentic experience that’s perfect for enjoying Ishigaki. Highly recommended!

A fantastic experience in Ishigaki’s wilderness. We were a family, and the owners were incredibly friendly and helpful. They also offer tours. The tent itself is excellent, and the sleeping area has air‑conditioning, which is a nice touch. You have your own bathroom and kitchen, so cooking is easy, and you can use the table‑barbecue if you get the chance.

Being surrounded by nature, hearing all sorts of animal sounds, really stimulated all five senses, and the couple running the place were warm and personable; the tours departing from the lodging were fantastic. We toasted our own hot sandwiches for breakfast, ate them piping hot, and the Okinawan fruit was always delicious. At night the darkness was total and the stars were spectacular. The access road to the jungle lodge was bumpy and the humidity could feel oppressive, but that kind of challenge added to the adventure.

Taka and Mari made this stay unforgettable. The pre‑arrival communication was quick, warm, and helpful, so we felt taken care of before arrival. They’re very friendly and never made anything too difficult. Both speak good English, and when they struggled they used a great translation app, so we always understood each other (my Japanese is just “arigato”). The tents were lovely, the beds super comfortable, and breakfast was a treat every morning, especially the fresh fruit. The real highlights were the activities with Taka: kayaking, a trek to a waterfall, and a magical sunset cruise on a traditional wooden Okinawan boat. Unforgettable hosts and an unforgettable stay. Honestly nothing to change; we were sad to leave.
