The Westings

We stayed in one of the small pods, which were cozy and fully equipped with everything needed. The bathroom was spacious and comfortable, and the tiny kitchen was enough to cook dinner for two. The view from the pods—or the accommodation overall—was stunning. The location is the perfect base for exploring the Shetland islands, as neither the south nor the north is too far away by car. Admittedly the space feels a bit narrow with two suitcases, but that’s expected in a pod like this, so no complaints!

“Location was perfect as it’s just outside of Lerwick.”

The loch view from my room was stunning, and the lounge offered a nice spot to relax; the bed was very comfortable. The only downside was noticing trash on the floor when looking out from the lounge or the fire exit window.

“Fine for us”

The food was decent, though the tables lacked cutlery and the breakfast cereal selection was limited to kids’ options—no cornflakes, branflakes, or granola—and there was no sugar bowl for tea on our table. The young lady who served us was friendly and helpful, and an internal signboard directing us to the dining area would have been useful. Small issues, but hopefully helpful.
