“Good value and comfortable bed and more importantly pillows, Great breakfast.”
The beds and pillows were very comfortable, the breakfast was the best I’ve had for free, but the facility shows signs of age.
I wish we had known the pool was closed for renovations; that was the main reason we booked this place.
The location, staff, and restaurant were great, but the shower needs updating—there’s rust, the drain has no stopper, and the shower curtain didn’t look clean at the bottom.

The front desk was incredible, but the room we got was awful—torn curtains, a bathroom with a peeling tub bottom and a shower head that looked like it could fall off. The pool was closed, which was a disappointment since we were traveling with our grandson for a lacrosse tournament and wanted to unwind after a hot day. We were sandwiched between a loud, obnoxious party on one side and a barking dog in the room on the other, making sleep nearly impossible. The next morning, while grabbing coffee, I told Michelle at the front desk about the dog. She listened, then immediately offered to move us to a different room. Our grandson had joined us last minute because his dad had a work emergency, so we had requested a cot for him in the room we originally booked, which had one king bed for my wife and me. Michelle not only arranged the swap but also found us a room with two beds right down the hall, saving us time packing and moving. That room was clean, bright, comfortable, and the bathroom had been updated. Most importantly, it was quiet. After a full day of lacrosse, we explored Little Italy in New Haven and returned for a solid night’s rest before the next day of games. Michelle was attentive, understanding, respectful, and incredibly helpful—she even made sure I had fresh coffee in the lobby that first morning when I was sleep‑deprived and grumpy. Her quick action turned what could have been a terrible weekend into a salvageable one. Thanks, Michelle! The dog was incredibly yappy, and the initial room was in terrible condition—no one should have put guests there. It would have been nice to know the pool was closed beforehand. Breakfast was okay, but the coffee could use an upgrade.
