We enjoyed staying on a boat—a really cool experience. We could sunbathe on the front and use the back deck as the sun moved. The kitchen had a stove and a dining table for meals. The location was great, a short walk to the old town’s main area, with stunning ocean views. A few minutes away was a main marina building where we could use full showers that were more comfortable than the boat’s. Being gated in felt very safe. The only downside was that the first few days were quite windy; marinas aren’t very quiet when it’s windy, but we didn’t mind too much and overall it was still peaceful.

I had an amazing, truly unforgettable experience aboard the Sea Cascais! Sleeping on the boat with the gentle rocking of the sea and waking up to the view of Cascais Bay was one of the highlights. The space was exceptionally clean, cozy, and had everything needed for a comfortable stay. Hospitality was flawless, with the host always available and attentive to every detail. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for an original, relaxing stay—definitely coming back!

The location was good, tucked away in a quiet part of the marina. Staying on a boat as a couple was a novelty, but although advertised as a 4‑berth, our teenagers would have struggled a lot with the space in the second room. This is a very personal opinion, and to be fair, anyone more used to sailing would probably know this in advance, but not being allowed to flush toilet paper and having to add/empty water was very strange for us. We ended up using the facilities in the marina instead. Some furniture on the sun deck upstairs would have really added to the experience for us. We were given one hand towel and one body towel each for a four‑day stay; we could have requested more but wrongly assumed it might be automatic.

It was something different from staying in a hotel room— a large boat where you can sit inside or outside and enjoy a beautiful view of the city. In the evening after dinner in the city, groups of young people were hanging out in the harbor. We weren’t afraid, but they were shouting and screaming. Also groups of fast cars were using the large streets to speed up to 100 km on Saturday. You should expect harbor security or something, but they weren’t there. The harbor entrance is locked, so it is safe, but good to know for new people.
