“Een fijne plek na een heerlijk diner in Schagen”

The location is central in Schagen and the bed was wonderful, but the noise from staff downstairs at 5.30 am was annoying.

I stayed in the center of Schagen, right by the church, and the hotel sits above the restaurant/bar. The room was modern, stylish, elegant, and cool. Breakfast was fantastic—fresh, tasty, and you could even ask the chef for special requests. The chefs were very friendly and communication was easy. Unfortunately, due to personal reasons we had to leave early and cancel. The manager was extremely accommodating, helpful, and understanding right away, which made the cancellation smooth. I’ll recommend the hotel. On the downside, the place smells strongly of food when you open the window. There’s no elevator (I knew that, but it’s useful info for disabled guests). The sauna is on the first floor but has no chairs, showers, or changing rooms, so you have to go into the sauna in your bathrobe and then sweat back up the stairs to your room—odd but not a big deal if you’re aware. The rooms are incredibly small; two people can barely move. The price‑to‑value ratio is far too high.

The room was beautiful, the bathtub was large, and everything was electric, which sometimes caused confusion with turning lights on and off. It was a pity that the nightlife crowd could be heard clearly, even with earplugs in the room.

Both breakfast and dinner were great, and the staff were very friendly and welcoming.

“Zeer prettig en komen zeker nog weer eens terug!”

The rooms were atmospherically decorated, the modern shower area was spacious, the restaurant was cozy, the terrace was nice, and breakfast was tasty. A small issue, but generally important for women: the bathroom lighting was too atmospheric, making it hard for women to get ready.
